By popular demand, we are offering this ring as a means of adding filters to the TZ3. Borrowed from a concept developed by dpreview forum member David Lewinsohn, the "Priscillia" ring is named after his lovely wife.
The ring attaches to the lens housing via a thin adhesive backed gasket which comes installed on the back of the ring. To install, clean the face of the lens housing to remove any oily residue, place the camera face up on a flat surface, remove the backing paper from the ring, carefully align the inside diameter of the ring with the front of the lens housing and press down to secure. Leave the camera undisturbed in the face up position for 1 hour to prevent the ring from shifting. We consider this installation semi-permanent. The ring, if the need arises, can be removed without too much difficulty and without tell-tale signs that it was ever attached. An extra gasket is included.
Most 37mm filters will not show vignetting at wide angle, however, a standard sized 37mm Circular Polarizer does show mild vignetting. We recommend using thin profile CPL's if at all possible or using a 37-46mm step-ring combined with a 46mm CPL. This ring is for filter use only; not for teleconverter or wide angle converter use. $15.99
37mm Lens Cap with tether $6.50
